Since we receive a lot of emails with the same questions, we put together this FAQ to help out:
Why did my book get declined?
When you submit your title, you will be competing with other books for your selected slot. Out of the 100+ requests we receive every day, we accept less than 10%. And because we receive so many submissions, we always analyze the following criteria when choosing which books to promote: the date you selected, book cover, book description, reviews (both quantity and quality), genre and our readership’s preferences. If rejected, we recommend waiting a week before resubmitting and to reexamine the above criteria.
Can I submit a pre-order?
No, we cannot run a promotion for a book on pre-order. However, we can use the pre-order ASIN to determine if your book can be accepted on the date it’s LIVE in the store. But keep in mind one of the criteria we examine when considering a book submission: Reviews. If a pre-order submission does not have sufficient reviews, it may not be accepted.
Do you promote books that are priced over $0.99?
No, we do not. Books must be $0.99 or less.
Can I submit a book without a live ASIN?
No, you need to submit a live ASIN to be considered for a slot.
What if I need to change my date?
We highly recommend that you do not make any changes once you accept a date. We will try our best to accommodate you, but switching dates or book links is very difficult once a date has been chosen.
Can I promote different books by the same author?
Yes. Only books promoted on our site within the past 90 days are not considered.
How often can I promote my books?
If you recently used our service for a title you will need to wait 90 days from the promo date to use our service again for the same book. If it’s a different book there is no wait time to apply.
Can I use my credit card to pay?
Yes! All our invoicing is done through PayPal, which accepts credit cards, e-checks, PayPal balances and more!
Do I need to have a PayPal account?
No! PayPal will process your payments for you free of charge and without needing to sign up for an account!
What retailers do you promote?
At this time we promote Amazon and Nook links. We are looking to expand to different retailers in the future.
What do I do if I forget to change my price/Amazon didn’t change my price?
Contact us and let us know. We will do our best to move your promotion to a different date!
Why won’t the calendar let me submit my application?
Our calendar books out up to two months in advance. Dates after that are grayed out and dates that are booked are yellow. Double check that you have selected a date that is both available and not booked up.
