In 2031, the world’s first trillionaire, Lewis Kilroy, invented a new form of contraception known as Castifica. Castifica uses patented nanotechnology to guarantee complete protection against sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancy. The initial reaction is overwhelmingly positive as Castifica comes with virtually no side effects and is fully reversible. However, seven years later, independent scientists are stumped as the vast majority of those who opted to inject themselves with this radical invention are choosing not to have it reversed. Two childhood friends turned roommates, Olivia Yates and Tracy Ogawa, attempt to navigate this new world.
